Nowra Culburra Surf Life Saving Club!
Culburra Beach is an awesome coastal town on the South Coast of NSW. Our Surf Club overlooks the magnificent Warrain Beach. Our club was established on the 12th December 1954 and has been patrolling Culburra beaches and keeping them safe for holiday makers and locals. 2014 marks our 60 year anniversary!
Membership is open to all ages. Come and do your Bronze Medallion or bring your children to Nippers. What could be more important than teaching your children how to swim and survive at the beach? We have a very motivated membership that compete in branch, country and state competitions and can help you achieve your goals.

Nowra-Culburra Surf Sports Co-Ordinator
In addition to the regular Sunday morning Nowra-Culburra Nipper sessions and the (4) Club Point score Sessions, there are a number of junior (and Senior) Surf Carnivals which take place on Saturday mornings at various beaches in the South Coast region.
This season’s carnivals are:
|Sat 25 Oct||Sydney Water Series Round 1||Shellharbour|
|Sat 8 Nov||Sydney Water Series Round 2||Towradgi|
|Sat 15 Nov||Sydney Water Series Round 3||Warilla|
|Sat 29 Nov||Sydney Water Series Round 4||Thirroul|
|Sat 13 & Sun 14 Dec||NSW Inter-branch championship||Catherine Hill Bay|
|Fri 16 – Sun 18 Jan 2015||NSW Country Championships||Mollymook|
|TBC||South Coast Branch Carnival|
|Friday 6 Mar – Sun 8 Mar||NSW State Championships||Ocean Beach/Umina|
All children aged U8s and over are encouraged to participate in carnivals. It further develops their surf lifesaving skills, encourages teamwork and is a great way to make new friends both within our club and with Nippers from other clubs. Whilst there is no emphasis within the Nowra-Culburra Club that competitors are expected to place or win, it is good that the children experience the friendliness and rewards that these types of competitions bring.
Club Members who wish their children to participate in carnivals or to be considered for team selection should mention it to their Age Manager and/or the Surf Sports Co-Ordinator.
